Part of being a responsible pet parent is ensuring that your dog or cat receives the wellness and preventative care services they need in order to stay healthy. These services include things like routine exams, vaccinations, microchipping, parasite testing, prevention, and treatment, and more.

Whether you have recently added a kitten or puppy to your family or you have an older companion, bringing them in for routine services is one of the best things you can do to ensure that they will have many happy, healthy years by your side. At Walnut Street Animal Hospital, we provide wellness and preventative care for pets in Cary and the surrounding areas, and we would be honored to be entrusted with your beloved companion’s care.

Routine Wellness & Preventive Services

Wellness and preventative care services are intended to help your pet stay healthy. When you bring your dog or cat to us, we will perform a comprehensive hands-on exam and check their vital signs to get a feel for their overall health and condition. From there, we may ask you some questions regarding their diet, exercise, any concerns you may have, etc.

During your pet’s wellness exam, we may discuss things like microchipping, routine bloodwork, vaccinations, spaying and neutering, etc. with you, too. While the services your pet receives are ultimately up to you, we will make recommendations and offer guidance regarding the care of your pet.
